Born and raised on Oahu, Jason is a proud graduate of Kalani High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has been in state civil service for 20 years, 13 of them serving as the DOE's Risk Management coordinator. Previous positions include over a decade in the insurance industry as an insurance agent and administrative assistant, and as a Secretary II at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
