With 34 years of service in Hawai‘i’s public schools, Lisa Nagamine has been a steadfast advocate for middle level education and a trusted leader in supporting safe and effective school operations. As former principal of Moanalua Middle School and later Principal in Residence for Secondary Education, she led efforts to strengthen students and school leaders across grades 6–12 statewide. Though retired in 2020 and still retired, Lisa was asked by Superintendent, to assist and support major initiatives, including leading the Department’s Middle School Initiative and, most recently, the development of the Harm to Student Registry—ensuring that student safety remains a top priority across Hawai‘i’s schools.
